In the survey sent a few months ago, the need for more statistics and analytics on the performance of one’s store received an average score of 9.2 out of 10.
We really appreciated your participation and as always, your support is essential to keep us moving in the right direction.
From today for each shop it will be possible to view a section dedicated to statistics as in the image:
The Visitors metric has been updated and made more precise, it now shows exactly the number of users who visit the site in a given period of time. Return visitors, on the other hand, is a new metric that allows us to understand how many visit the site once and then return a second time or more.
Among the new metrics included, the Average Cart is of fundamental importance for understanding the average order that is generally made on your eCommerce. Based on this data, it is possible to choose to make ad hoc promotions to increase it.
The conversion funnel, on the other hand, gives an idea of user behavior on your site, i.e. how many additions to the cart are made, how many begin a purchase journey, and finally who buys.
The conversion rate is a fundamental metric because it allows us to understand how many of the users who visit the site in the end buy. In Italy having a conversion rate between 1% and 2.5% generally indicates the good health of the online store. When the conversion rate is lower, it can mean that you are promoting your site in the wrong places, that the chosen target is not sufficiently qualified, and that you change your strategy.
Finally, the list of best-selling products allows us to understand in a simple way what your audience likes, in order to optimize the catalog, warehouse, and advertising.
The new statistics section can be accessed from the dashboard, from the Visitors and Orders cards, by clicking on the “Show all statistics” link, or from the Menu, in the Marketing section.
In addition to the new statistics, new improvements have been introduced which mainly concern SEO, and the indexing of shops on search engines such as Google and Bing. Although these changes are not visible to the user, the result is a better organization of the structure of the shops and their readability by search engines, which will positively influence your online presence.
